The Poetry of Sara Jane’s Alley - A Quiet Memory

Quiet memories sit in the secluded corners of my mind.

Unassuming bits of my past that never flashed or steered, but somehow fit the moment.

Colors that blended just right with fading light or a starry night.

Beauty that never needed to impress or guess.

Memories that were quiet enough to be heard just right.

Quiet memories beat in the faint rhythms of my heart.

The first kiss with a true love that stood the test of time and doubt.

A loved pet passing away in my arms, loyal and trusting to the end.

Memories that were quiet enough to be heard just right.

Quiet memories linger in the many journeys of my life.

Meaningless moments for friends and foe, that meant so much to me.

Everyday moments of passing time, just saying goodbye or asking why.

Splendid flashes of nature each day that took my breath away.

Memories that were quiet enough to be heard just right.
